In 2019 I was at the end of a very profitable summer - I made about $60,000 in three months. It felt unreal. I was on top of the world.
I was hanging out at home on a Friday night waiting for friends to respond to my "hey, what are you up to" texts. Nobody was biting. I was home alone, bored, and itching for adventure.
An fateful idea popped into my head. I opened up Google Flights and started browsing.
What started off as a cute little way to pass time quickly got serious.
I looked at flights and dates.
I just made a bunch of money. I didn't HAVE to be in Austin to do client work. I could pass off new leads to one of my business partners and split commission. Besides, apartment deals weren't as serious as traditional real estate deals. I could disappear any day and the world wouldn't fall apart. Worse case scenarios current clients would still find their apartments.
And then.....BAM.
I clicked the button.
I booked a flight to Madrid - a one way trip. This wasn't going to be a cute little vacation. This was going to be an adventure. I could be gone for two weeks...a month....two months?
I could do whatever I wanted.
So I did.
I spent the next six weeks traveling around Spain, Morocco and Portugal. I toured the Alhambra in Spain, rode camels in the Sahara Desert, and drank tasty Port wines in Lisbon. It was one of most epic adventures of my life.
Sure, I didn't make as much money as I would have if I stayed at home. But with some basic communication and follow ups I even closed a few deals while abroad that covered for much of the travel expenses.
Apartment locating made this possible. I had the money, the time, and the control over my time I always wanted.
Nobody could stop me. Nobody in my brokerage even knew I was gone.
When I came back I picked up right where I started. I started taking clients again and started making money as if nothing changed.
This course will show you everything I learned about building a business apartment locating.
